thanks gampa and grammie

my gampa and grammie left for albuquerque today. i had such a fun time with them during the week as we celebrated christmas, visited ikea, welcomed the new year and had lots of fun in my playroom. i love you gampa and grammie and i can't wait to see you again.

a very merry christmas

i got to celebrate christmas in two parts this year. daddy, mommy and i got to open stockings on christmas morning and then we got to open presents on december 27th, after grammie and gampa came into town. grammie and gampa were in tennessee celebrating with mo, lula and my cousins. maybe one year we will all get to celebrate christmas together.

tonight, i got to wear my new outfit to the christmas eve service at our church. it was a really neat family service where the kids who came could participate and dress up as shepherds, wise men, and angels. there was even a real donkey! afterwards, mommy and daddy changed me into my christmas pajamas and we all went out looking at christmas lights. i got a little cranky along the way, but we still had a great night together as a family.

greats brought me a gift when she came to visit for my baptism. since i didn't get to see her at christmas, i got to open the gift while she was here. thank you greats, i love you bunches!

A Word from Mommy...

A friend of mine shared a beautiful song via Facebook about the love of a mom and how it gets you through even all the sleepless nights. It made me think of what James and Owen gave me for Christmas - a DVD that included a few different home movies we've taken over the last few months, as well as the most amazing slideshow of photos with a beautiful, tear-jerker of a song playing in the background. I thought I'd share that video with you and hope you are as touched by the words as I was...especially all of you mommies out there!

mommy and grammie made me a soft ring stacker by hand. they made several trips to the fabric store and spent many, many hours on the sewing machine. i'm going to have so much fun with it. its full of fun textures, colors and shapes.

a trip to remember

here are a few highlights from my christmas trip to albuquerque. mommy and daddy decided to stay an extra day due to weather. we all had a wonderful time and made lots of special memories.

i was so excited to celebrate my first chirstmas. grammie has made all the family stockings, but with two new grandkids this year, she hasn't had a chance. so i got to use the stocking used by mo and daddy their first year in the family. i had so much fun! i got lots of great stuff. i'm looking forward to playing...and wearing...all the gifts. thanks to all my family and friends who gave me gifts on my first christmas. i love you all.

today we went to christmas eve communion, to look at christmas lights and then came home to open a present from lula, mo and my cousins. mommy and daddy were told by lula that i had to open it on christmas eve. thanks nashville gang, i love and miss you all. hopefully i can spend next christmas with you.
