it's raining it's pouring

daddy and i were playing outside and it started to rain a little. i wanted to play in my house a bit longer, though, so we figured a few drops couldn't hurt. then suddenly it started pouring, so daddy took cover with me.

Okay, so after two whole years, I finally got around to finishing Owen's 1-year video. Kelly has been reminding me of it and well, it's a year late but still in time for his 2-year birthday. I'm hoping Owen will look back at the video one day and be reminded of all he did in his first year. As for me, it's now onto the second year, which at this rate will probably be done by the time he leaves for college :)

i got to pick out my very own helmet today at the store. mommy fit a couple to me and then let me pick my favorite. of course, i chose a lightning mcqueen one!! and i was so excited to ride today that i had my shoes and helmet on as soon as daddy got home. he didn't even get to go in the house first!

mommy never realized i was watching her so closely...and picking up a few of her habits. silly mommy, you thought i was too little to do this myself!

mommy and daddy thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the weather we've been having so they bought a bike trailer. don't worry grandparents, daddy only took me around the front of the house to test the trailer since i don't have my helmet yet.

today we celebrated the 4th of july with our neighborhood parade and a fun day at the pool. i had a blast hanging out and playing with eliana and ryker.

elmo and cars

two of the things i enjoy are elmo and the cars movie, especially the music. i love the scene in cars when the street cars blast their music. don't worry though, mommy and daddy don't let me watch much tv. i'm sure my grandparents would be worried if that were the case. but when i do get to watch tv, elmo and cars are two of my favorites. as you can tell, i watch each differently.

today mommy had a doctor appointment so I got to go to eliana's house to play. it was warm outside so mrs. beth set up the sprinkler ball for us to play with. we had more fun drinking the water than playing in it.

i got a pair of sunglasses at my buddy ryker's birthday party and it's one of the only pairs that i will actually wear. so mommy had to snap a shot with her phone on our way to church.

over the weekend, i got to celebrate daddy's day with mommy and some friends. on saturday, i went to my second swim lesson, but this time with daddy in the water. then we went to chatfield state park, had a picnic, and played in the water with some friends. on sunday, i made daddy a sign at sunday school and gave it to him when we got home. happy daddy's day daddy, i love you!
