this weekend was a very special weekend in my life. mommy and daddy knew before i was even born that they would one day have me baptized in our church, cherry creek presbyterian church. well, this past sunday was the big day! gampa, grammie, and greats all got to come and be part of it...and it was really neat to actually be baptized by my gampa (a very special honor that our church was gracious to allow), just like my cousins jackson and anabel were years ago.

mommy and i went outside this morning to keep daddy company while he shoveled the driveway. i'm not quite sure what i think of all this cold white stuff. what i do know is that my cheeks froze!

A Word from Mommy...

A friend of mine shared a beautiful song via Facebook about the love of a mom and how it gets you through even all the sleepless nights. It made me think of what James and Owen gave me for Christmas - a DVD that included a few different home movies we've taken over the last few months, as well as the most amazing slideshow of photos with a beautiful, tear-jerker of a song playing in the background. I thought I'd share that video with you and hope you are as touched by the words as I was...especially all of you mommies out there!

i'm a big boy now!

today i went with mommy and daddy to run some errands around town. i got to sit up in a high chair during lunch and then in a shopping cart (no car seat necessary) at babies r us. i'm sure all the other babies were envious of me sitting up like a big boy.

it seems that this food thing is not such a battle after all. so mommy and daddy decided that tonight's match would be the last one posted. i will be eating different foods in the weeks to come, but it's obvious that each one will be a victory for baby. thanks for watching me learn to eat solids the past few weeks. tonight my opponent was the banana.

a boy and his exersaucer...three months later

the gift from my grandpa and grandma is still being put to good use. i love spending time in my exersaucer while mommy and daddy cook in the kitchen. i've become a lot more active in it three months later. in fact, i'm all set to have daddy raise it to the next height.
