bath time

tonight, grammie and mommy gave me a bath. i have definitely started liking bath time a lot more, especially now that i can be in the water and kick my legs. i love to splash the water! plus, i stay a lot warmer now.

i love bath time
this picture better not show up when i'm older!

wrapped up and warm
bathed, lotioned, and comfy in grammie's arms

one size fits all

this morning was sad since both truett and lula had to go back to nashville. but lula has 4 other kiddos and mo (uncle jason) waiting for her and she misses them. everyone decided that it would be fun to have truett and i dress up in the same outfit before they left. however, they woke me up to do it as you can see in the pictures.

you woke me up for this
sorry truett, but i'm really sleepy
give me a paci
ahhh! that's better

a post for cousin anabel

these pictures are for my cousin anabel. since she couldn't be here, i decided to put up pictures of the american girl store for her to see. mommy and grammie went into the store tonight when they were at the mall. i stayed outside with mommy and listened to the water. 6thanks for the cool socks and school bus toy annie, i can't wait to meet you in person.

two babies with mommies, a grammie and a mall

mommy, lula, grammie, truett and i all went to the mall today. we had dinner and got to spend some time outside. lula, grammie and truett went into the american girl store (i'm sorry truett). but mommy waited outside. by the way, daddy wasn't there since he was out playing golf.

grammie comes to town

grammie came into town this morning. for the first time, she got to see me and truett at the same time. we all went to the airport to pick her up and then went to breakfast. i think truett and i have her wrapped around our baby-size pinkies. truett and i wished gampa was here too. we miss him and can't wait for him to have us in his arms and teach us both about things like fishing and costco.

look how much i've grown grammie

the magnificent cloth diaper duo

i had some fun playtime with truett this morning. mommy and lula put us in colorful cloth diapers and we got a chance to have some fun.

like our dads, we needed space
until our mommies moved us close
can i tell you a secret?
we're buddies for life
here comes truett

that's how we roll...or stroll

tonight mommy and lula took me and truett out for a walk. daddy came along to watch out for all of us. the highlight was a sprinkler that seemed to chase us backwards. the further we backed up, the longer the water shot out. we all got soaked and of course truett and i cried like the babies we are.

let's roll
a little push please

lula and me

lula came into town tonight and i got to meet her in person for the first time. for those of you that don't know who lula is, she is mommy's sister, kim. i call her lula since its cooler and both mommy and lula don't like to be called "aunt". mommy's nickname is bobo. i also got to meet my cousin truett. lula has 5 kiddos but truett is the closest to me in age - we're 5 months apart. i can't wait to get into all kinds of trouble with him. i'm sure my other cousin reagan will make us do things that will make mommy and lula nervous...or upset. i love having both lula and truett in town. we're having all kinds of fun. more to come...

A Word from Daddy...

Okay so I just changed my very first cloth diaper and I must say, it was so easy. It felt no different than changing a disposable diaper except I'm using snaps and they are a little bulkier. But overall, I'm very impressed. I was worried about the mess it might make, but we got a wonderful bag to hold the diapers that simply goes in the wash with the diapers and everything comes out clean. I know the cleaning part since we did it with the Lil Joeys. They even have an inner gusset like disposable diapers that hold the mess in. The best part is that these diapers will last him until he is potty trained. What an investment!

My image of a cloth diaper was a white cloth that you had to fold into the shape of a diaper and hold with diaper pins. Boy have they come a long way. They look like regular diapers but with more style. I can have him in just a diaper and a top and he looks so cute. If you haven't thought about cloth diapers, I would recommend you look into it. Compare the cost and it's not even close. It was a great buy...and it saves me some money for golf :)

diapers, diapers everywhere!

daddy's money savers
i got my cloth diapers today from rumparooz. mommy convinced daddy to make the investment. it was a hard sell until mommy explained to daddy the cost of buying disposable diapers in the long run versus the upfront cost of cloth diapers. since daddy is a budget person, the savings he saw clinched the deal. plus, daddy had a different image of what cloth diapers looked like. the ones we got have snaps which are adjustable for when i get bigger and are shaped just like a regular diaper...and they are easy to clean. they come in all sorts of fun colors and patterns. a baby boy has got to look his best and these diapers are stylish. if you recall, i was in a photo shoot to be a model for the lil joeys, which are the newborn size cloth diapers made by the same company.
