word from daddy

Okay, so after two whole years, I finally got around to finishing Owen's 1-year video. Kelly has been reminding me of it and well, it's a year late but still in time for his 2-year birthday. I'm hoping Owen will look back at the video one day and be reminded of all he did in his first year. As for me, it's now onto the second year, which at this rate will probably be done by the time he leaves for college :)

biking

mommy and daddy thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the weather we've been having so they bought a bike trailer. don't worry grandparents, daddy only took me around the front of the house to test the trailer since i don't have my helmet yet.

saying my abc's

elmo and cars

two of the things i enjoy are elmo and the cars movie, especially the music. i love the scene in cars when the street cars blast their music. don't worry though, mommy and daddy don't let me watch much tv. i'm sure my grandparents would be worried if that were the case. but when i do get to watch tv, elmo and cars are two of my favorites. as you can tell, i watch each differently.

fun on the water slide

i was able to wait in line for the slide without mommy or daddy. my first taste of independence. of course it's always easier when mommy is waiting at the end of the slide to catch me.

some backyard pool fun

it was so warm over the weekend that mommy and daddy decided to pull out the pool. it should keep me busy until the neighborhood pool opens on memorial day.

i've really started to get into hot wheels so daddy built me a ramp from some left over wood to slide the cars on.

today i discovered that water in the dog bowl tastes just like water in my sippy cup. the difference is that mommy says i can't drink from the dog bowl.

someone i know is in the book

mommy read me one of my favorite bedtime books tonight. it's one of my favorites because someone i know is in it...or at least i see a resemblance. you'll know it when you hear me say it. mommy and daddy think it's hilarious!

let me tell you what i want

mommy and daddy have been using the baby signing time method to teach me to communicate until i learn to speak. daddy removed the audio from the clip so you wouldn't have to hear all the distracting grown up conversation that goes on during dinner and can focus on the star of the video...me.
