playing hard to get

so my friend eliana came over today to spend a few hours with us. she and i had a lot of fun playing and crawling after one another. and evidently she finds me really irresistible.

happy 11 month birthday!

i turned 11-months old last friday. i'm only a few weeks away from celebrating the big 1 with all my friends. oh, and i now have all my front teeth...that's right, i'm an 8-toofer kiddo.

we just celebrated daddy's first father's day! we made a whole weekend of it. on saturday, we went to daddy's favorite place...the zoo! mommy bought a family membership last year as a gift to him for father's day. this visit, we mainly had a picnic by the lake and went to the bird show.

on sunday, we went to church, got some breakfast, and then went home to maybe go to the pool. but by the time we got our stuff together, the clouds had rolled in and daddy decided that maybe it wasn't such a good idea. so instead, we went to the library and then tried out the new frozen yogurt place in downtown parker, swirls frozen yogurt. it was yummy and mommy loves that it's all natural and local! we also got to give daddy our very special cards.

it was a great day!

wyatt turned 1 today. unfortunately, his family moved away, so i haven't seen him since our bradley reunion so many months ago...

with our vacation in florida and all the activity of travel, packing and unpacking, i forgot to post a special birthday message to my greats. well i remembered but since i can't talk yet, i couldn't remind mommy and daddy. i tried using every sound i knew to tell them, but they didn't seem to understand what i was saying. anyway, this goes out to my wonderful, amazing, one-of-a-kind greats...

ryker turned 1 today and abel turns 1 tomorrow. mommy and daddy are hoping that i can make both birthday parties this weekend. with both being on the same day, that might be a bit of a challenge.

more fun in the water

we had 90-degree temperatures today so mommy and daddy thought it would be great opportunity to pack a lunch and take me to the large community pool. i had a blast splashing in the zero-entry swimming pool and trying out my new float.

there's no "p" in my "pool"...at least that's what mommy and daddy hope. i got my very own baby pool yesterday for those times when mommy and daddy don't want to walk over to the large community pool. mommy also found out that it's a good way to keep me busy when she needs to do some yard work. i'm discovering that i love being in the water as much as i love drinking it.

mommy and daddy heard a strange sound while they were cleaning up after dinner tonight. when they looked over, they saw me doing some rearranging. they thought it was hilarious. i guess once a boy figures out how to push a walker, he moves on to bigger things.
