i'm a baby stair master

i finally figured out that going down the stairs backwards is way easier. now i can't figure out if it's more fun to go up or down. so i guess i'll do both. it keeps me in great shape.

my grandpa's birthday was on wednesday. he was here to help celebrate my 1-year birthday and we had so much fun together. happy birthday grandpa, i love you and can't wait to see you in november.

To our dear, sweet Owen,
It seems like just yesterday we were painting your room and wondering what life was gonna be like once you arrived. We made all our plans, attended our classes, stocked up on supplies, and then waited...and waited...and waited. And then you were here. We held your tiny little body in our hands and cuddled you close to our hearts. We rocked with you and read to you and snuggled with you. We watched you grow and grow and grow. And now we can't believe that an entire year has passed. You turned 1-year-old today. In a matter of minutes, you went from being a baby to being a toddler, even if you aren't officially "toddling" yet. We thank God every day for blessing our lives with your laughter, your smiles, your "will", your life! We love you more than you will ever know - right up to the moon and back!

My, how you've grown...

my very own roadster

mommy and daddy gave me an early birthday present today...my very own roadster swing. daddy hung the swing this evening so that i could enjoy the cool weather. i hear the swing comes with stickers so i can personalize it and make it really cool! thanks mommy and daddy.

today is my friend eliana's 1st birthday. other than mommy and daddy, she is the person i see the most..especially since she lives right across the street. we've had a lot of fun over the last year taking walks, having playdates and going on fun outings.

happy birthday u.s.a!

this morning, we all participated in our neighborhood 4th of july parade. there were lots of people, bikes, strollers and wagons all colored in red, white and blue. of course mommy, daddy and i were dressed in the colors as well. i even got to see a real fire engine, which led the parade through the streets.
