monkeying around

on friday we went to little monkey bizness for family night. my favorite things to do there include going down the "big slide", jumping around in the bounce house, and building things with daddy.

my visit to the museum

over the weekend, mommy and daddy took me to the denver museum of nature and science. mommy got a groupon and we had to use it before my baby brother arrives. i had so much fun in the planetarium watching big bird and elmo teach me about the stars, hanging out at the kids discovery zone, looking at the different museum displays, and watching polars bears in the imax with my 3D glasses.

today we went to storytime at the library and then stopped by the park with my friend eliana. it was too hot so we didn't stay long. but I was there long enough to see another little boy do a fun trick. i just had to try it out myself.

today is my actual birthday!

today mommy and daddy helped me celebrate my actual birthday with an ice cream outing. we picked up ice cream and then went to the park for some birthday fun!

zoe and her parents gave me a cool fishing kit for my birthday (along with a curious george goes fishing book). i love wearing the vest around the house. since my grandparents love fishing, i figured i should get in some practice.

daddy and i were playing outside and it started to rain a little. i wanted to play in my house a bit longer, though, so we figured a few drops couldn't hurt. then suddenly it started pouring, so daddy took cover with me.

celebrating my 2-year birthday

today i celebrated my 2-year birthday with family and friends. ryker came along with his mommy, and eliana joined the fun with her parents. kristi and josh also came to help us celebrate. we all had so much fun. although my official birthday isn't until the 17th, this was the best opportunity for all of us to get together. thanks everyone for making my 2-year birthday a blast. i love you all!

Okay, so after two whole years, I finally got around to finishing Owen's 1-year video. Kelly has been reminding me of it and well, it's a year late but still in time for his 2-year birthday. I'm hoping Owen will look back at the video one day and be reminded of all he did in his first year. As for me, it's now onto the second year, which at this rate will probably be done by the time he leaves for college :)

i got to pick out my very own helmet today at the store. mommy fit a couple to me and then let me pick my favorite. of course, i chose a lightning mcqueen one!! and i was so excited to ride today that i had my shoes and helmet on as soon as daddy got home. he didn't even get to go in the house first!
