peek-a-boo!

daddy was quietly cleaning up around my room and thought i was asleep. little did he know that i was carefully watching him all along. peek-a-boo daddy, i see you!

about me...

my name is owen. i was born in 2010. i am the first-born of my family, but we are looking forward to welcoming my baby brother into the world this fall. i'm not sure yet how i feel about not being the only kiddo in this house!

i am now 2 years old and getting a little crazy! this past year i learned to walk, run, jump, and yell. now i'm learning all the things i really like - cars and trucks, choo choos, puppies, eating, and playing with my friends. i love sharing my adventures with you.

even though i am no longer a baby, mommy and daddy still can't get enough of cuddling me, kissing me, and helping me grow to be who God wants me to be. God knew what he was doing when he put the three of us together!

my favorite things...

the poooool! I love jumping into the water, blowing bubbles, kicking, running, and just playing in the water
all things hot wheels...i sooooo love cars and trucks, especially "maquee" (lightning mcqueen) and "matah" (tow mater)
playing with, watching and riding on "choo choos"
saying nigh nigh to each of my family and friends before falling asleep
snuggling with my lovie (especially the tag!) and sucking my fingers when it's sleepy time

consonants: feb 20, 2011...now talking non-stop

standing (unassisted): aug 10, 2011 (up from sitting!)
steps: aug 2, 2011 (3 or so at a time); aug 9 (5 or 6 by his own desire)
walking: aug 20, 2011 (pref. over crawling, still unsteady)
saying "mama" or "dada": jun 9, 2011 (more or less!)
waving: may 11, 2011
words: jul/aug 2011 (a decipherable "nana" (banana) and "dah dah dah" (dog))
